About the Position

Warner Norcross + Judd is looking for a Pricing Manager to build and lead the firm’s strategic pricing function. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the processes, standards, tools, and infrastructure that will guide pricing decisions across the firm. The Pricing Manager will collaborate with firm leadership, attorneys, and practice group leaders to develop strategies that balance client expectations with the firm’s financial objectives.

The Pricing Manager will lead matter economics analysis, budgeting, pricing models, client rate reviews, alternative fee arrangements, and responses to requests for proposals. As the function grows, this individual will help develop the team and establish consistent, data-informed practices that strengthen profitability and support strategic decision-making across the firm.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead pricing, budgeting, and financial analysis for new and existing matters, including hourly, discounted, and alternative fee arrangements
  • Develop rates, fee estimates, budgets, and pricing options for client requests and RFPs
  • Lead annual client rate reviews and present recommendations to firm and practice group leadership
  • Analyze completed matters and historical data to improve future pricing and financial performance
  • Establish firmwide pricing policies, standards, and best practices
  • Serve as the firm’s primary resource for pricing strategy, rate structures, and alternative fee arrangements
  • Develop a strong understanding of practice groups, clients, and matter economics to support planning and forecasting
  • Partner with Finance, Practice Management, Business Development, Billing, and Intake to implement pricing decisions
  • Improve and automate pricing processes, reporting, and analysis using AI-enabled and advanced analytics tools
  • Maintain accurate project trackers and budget repositories
  • Support the growth of the pricing function
  • Present pricing trends, risks, and recommendations to firm leadership and the Management Committee

The physical demands of this position are representative of those that must be met by an employee in order to successfully perform the essential functions of the position. These include being both mobile and stationary throughout the workday, having the ability to transport 25 pounds and being able to operate a computer and other business equipment found in the office.

They will bring strong leadership and communication skills, executive presence, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. They will also be proactive, collaborative, and capable of managing competing priorities while exercising sound judgment and discretion.

About You:

Experience, Education, and Training:

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field. MBA or an advanced degree is a plus
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in financial analysis, pricing, budgeting, or a related analytical role; law firm or professional services experience strongly preferred
  • Advanced Excel proficiency, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and financial modeling, with the ability to manipulate large data sets and model outcome scenarios
  • Familiarity with legal pricing structures — rates, discount arrangements, budgeting matters, staffing models, and alternative fee arrangements — is a plus
  • Experience with Power BI, SQL, Aderant, or similar reporting and law firm financial systems preferred
  • Interest in and experience with professional use of AI tools strongly preferred
