We're looking for a Pricing Data Analyst \u2013 Int. responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting relevant data to evaluate the effectiveness of the pricing team as well as identifying business trends and opportunities relevant to pricing. This role will ensure the integrity of such data, will generate reports that verify and document their accuracy and will work with business teams to ensure reporting needs are met. Types of data include, but are not limited to, pricing metrics and revenue.

Our corporate headquarters is located in Chicago, IL. Employees work three days in the corporate office and can work remotely the remaining two days of the workweek. We offer retirement benefits plus vision, dental and medical benefits, as well as a paid holiday and PTO package.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures data is acquired on-time, accurate, and disseminated properly.
  • Creates and maintains ongoing reports based on key business metrics.
  • Interprets and analyzes results using statistical techniques.
  • Developes easy-to-understand and legible data visualizations for business users.
  • Identifies performance indicators and meets with program owners to determine best course of action.
  • Analyzes large amounts of data, identifies patterns, and reports on trends.
  • Forecasts using prediction models.
  • Optimizes and efficiently collects data by implementing a database collection system.
  • Improves quality of data collected from various sources and maintains clean databases.
  • Develops pricing models including profitability & freight factors.
  • Ensures pricing accuracy, working in collaboration with co-workers, customers and suppliers.
  • Maintains pricing structure and pricing data, both current and historical.
  • Performs financial modeling and analysis of existing accounts and company pricing.
  • Proposes solutions to meet organizational pricing and profitability goals.
  • Develops and maintains knowledge of the competition.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in economics, finance, mathematics, or a related field from a four-year college or university, plus three years' related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Technical prowess using a wide variety of analytical tools including but no limited to Excel, Tableau, Python, and SQL.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experienced with conducting queries, report writing and presenting findings.
  • Ability to apply statistical and other research methods into system issues and products, as required.
  • Familiar with industry concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Excellent data management skills, capable of planning and accurately executing to goals.
  • Ability to interpret and effectively communicate complex analytics.
  • Proactive self-starter, with the ability to work independently with little supervision and accomplish goals promptly.
  • Effective time-management skills; able to work individually and as part of a team under tight deadlines with changing priorities.
  • Excellent people skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and interpersonal skills that foster good, mutually respectful working relationships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience reporting on financial impacts of business initiatives and making presentations to management.
  • Organized and detailed-oriented, with a keen eye for quality control of work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Word.
  • Strong interest in the latest technologies and tools available for analytics.
  • Experience with SAP experience is a plus.

Our salary range for this role is $60,200 - $72,200 including a full benefits package.
