About us

Johnson Controls, a global leader in thermal management, mission-critical building systems, energy efficiency, and decarbonization, helps customers use energy more productively, reduce carbon emissions, and operate with the precision and resilience required in rapidly expanding industries such as data centers, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, advanced manufacturing, and higher education.

For more than 140 years, Johnson Controls has delivered performance where it really matters. Backed by advanced technology, lifecycle services and an industry-leading field organization, we elevate customer performance, turn goals into real-world results and help move society forward.

What you will do

Johnson Controls is a global organization helping customers create smarter, healthier, and more sustainable environments. In this role, you will support pricing decisions that strengthen margin performance, improve competitiveness, and help commercial teams respond quickly to market change.

The Pricing Analyst plays a key role in developing price guidance, analyzing ratemaking and cost factors, and supporting deal desk decisions. Working both independently and with cross-functional partners, you will turn data into actionable recommendations that support profitable growth and stronger pricing discipline.

How you will do it

  • Participate in the pricing deal desk by reviewing opportunities and returning recommended price guidance based on deal criteria, cross-functional input, and available data sources.
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Finance, and other stakeholders to understand customer decision-making criteria, product value, market conditions, and competitive dynamics.
  • Analyze current and future state pricing models and compare cost factors to identify margin improvement opportunities.
  • Apply statistical modeling methods to evaluate the potential impact of pricing strategies on current and future pricing outcomes.
  • Support the analysis of margin targets and pricing strategy, including pricing performance trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to implement competitive pricing strategies and timely price optimization.
  • Support the development of dynamic pricing tools that help the business respond to changing market needs and trends.
  • Challenge business assumptions, research different dimensions of ratemaking, and translate complex datasets into clear insights for commercial decision-making.
  • Own pricing recommendations with accountability, integrity, and a clear focus on commercial impact.
  • Stay close to the deal, the customer, and the market so you can focus on the factors that matter most and remove obstacles quickly.
  • Use continuous improvement, candid analysis, and structured problem-solving to refine assumptions, models, and recommendations every day.
  • Work as one team with Sales, Operations, Finance, General Managers, and P&L owners to build aligned and practical pricing decisions.
  • Use Excel and analytical tools such as SQL, Python, R, SAS, or Tableau to synthesize large datasets and convert analysis into actionable insight.
  • Communicate recommendations clearly and professionally so stakeholders can move quickly with confidence.

What we look for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or other quantitative related fields
  • Minimum of one year relevant experience working in a pricing related role
