Job Title: Preventative Maintenance Technician
Department: Maintenance
Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Summary:
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, inspections, adjustments, lubrication, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on production machinery, facility equipment, mechanical systems, electrical components, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and related equipment. This position supports safe and reliable equipment operation by identifying potential issues before failure, completing assigned preventative maintenance tasks, documenting work performed, and communicating equipment concerns to Maintenance leadership and production personnel.

Education and/or Experience:
One to two years of maintenance, preventative maintenance, industrial equipment, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before employees of organization.
Mathematical skills:
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
Reasoning ability:
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Certificate from Trade School or alternative form of certification regarding electrical, mechanical, industrial maintenance, preventative maintenance, welding, or related applications preferred.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and frequently lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
