Job Description Summary:

The Prevention Specialist supports the development, delivery, and evaluation of the Office of Equal Opportunitys prevention education programming for students, faculty and staff. Reporting directly to the Senior Prevention and Response Specialist, this role assists in implementing evidence-based initiatives, coordinating required training programs, assessing program effectiveness and developing innovative educational content.
The Prevention Specialist will:
The position is based at GWs Foggy Bottom Campus in Washington, DC but may require travel to GWs campuses in Mount Vernon, DC and Ashburn, VA and to surrounding areas. Performs other work duties as assigned.
The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning tasks logically related to the position.
Minimum Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelors degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 2 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Masters degree or higher in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
