Requirements

• Previous experience setting up and operating punch presses, stamping presses, or similar manufacturing equipment
• Experience completing machine setups for production runs
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, work instructions, and specifications
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments, including calipers and micrometers
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Experience with tool, die, and mold setup preferred
• Forklift experience is a plus
• Commitment to following all workplace safety procedures

Job Duties

• Set up and operate punch and stamping presses for production runs
• Complete machine changeovers and adjust equipment for production
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues to minimize downtime
• Read and follow blueprints, work instructions, and product specifications
• Use calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments to verify product quality
• Assist with tooling, die, and mold setups to maximize production efficiency
• Conduct routine equipment inspections
• Perform basic preventive maintenance
• Operate a forklift as needed to move materials and support production
• Maintain accurate production and quality records
• Follow all workplace safety procedures
• Keep the work area clean and organized
• Collaborate with team members to identify continuous-improvement opportunities

What You Will Do

As a Press Set Up Operator you will operate, monitor, adjust, and maintain manufacturing equipment to produce quality products according to production schedules and established procedures. You will inspect finished products, replenish materials, identify equipment issues, perform routine machine checks, maintain production records, and support safe, efficient manufacturing operations.
