    About the Role:

    As a vital member of our production team, the Press Room Operator plays a key role in ensuring our tablet products meet the highest quality standards. This position involves operating and maintaining sophisticated compression machinery with precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety. Whether youre new to manufacturing or bring experience from food, pharmaceutical, or supplement production, this role offers a chance to grow and contribute to a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

    What You'll Do:

    Press Room Operator I:

    • Set up and operate tablet press equipment according to established procedures.
    • Load powder blends into hoppers, ensuring consistent flow throughout production.
    • Monitor and measure tablet weight, thickness, and hardness to meet strict specifications.
    • Conduct routine checks and accurately document results.
    • Troubleshoot minor issues like sticking or weight deviations.
    • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of equipment and work areas daily.
    • Disassemble and reassemble press components for cleaning or changeovers.
    • Verify tooling, punches, and dies align with batch records and quality standards.
    • Handle tooling with care, reporting any damage or wear.
    • Assist with secondary operations or packaging as needed.
    • Uphold food safety and quality standards, stopping work if issues arise.

    Press Room Operator II:

    • Perform all I-level functions independently.
    • Conduct full press changeovers, adjusting machine parameters such as force, fill depth, and turret speed.
    • Evaluate tablet quality in real-time and adjust machinery accordingly.
    • Use your understanding of powder properties and environmental factors to optimize production.
    • Troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues with minimal assistance.
    • Recommend tooling adjustments to improve product quality and efficiency.
    • Mentor and support junior operators, sharing your expertise.

    Qualifications & Skills:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Experience in a manufacturing environment-food, pharma, supplements preferred.
    • Knowledge of GMP and quality assurance practices is a plus.
    • Hands-on experience with tablet compression equipment is advantageous.
    • Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting skills.
    • Ability to interpret production data, calculate weights, and perform multi-tasking in a fast-paced setting.
    • Ability to become forklift certified and operate equipment safely.
    • Excellent attention to detail, safety awareness, and independence.

    Physical & Environmental Requirements:

    • Ability to lift 0-50 pounds unaided, with assistance for heavier loads.
    • Push/pull up to 300 pounds with or without assistance.
    • Stand, walk, climb stairs, or work at elevated stations for extended periods.
    • Use of PPE: lab coats, gloves, masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, and respirators as needed.
    • Work environment includes exposure to powder dust, machinery noise, varying indoor temperatures, and chemical ingredients.
