Join a Growing Automotive Stamping Team

Dove Die & Stamping is seeking experienced Press Operators to join our manufacturing team. We are looking for dependable, safety-focused individuals with experience setting up and operating mechanical stamping presses in a fast-paced automotive environment.

What You'll Do

• Set up and operate Minster straight-side and OBI presses ranging from 60 to 400 tons.
• Operate presses independently with minimal supervision.
• Work with DiPro and SmartPac press control systems.
• Perform quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring equipment.
• Read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, specifications, and job orders.
• Ensure proper machine operation, machine controls, die protection systems, and mistake-proofing equipment are functioning correctly.
• Maintain accurate production and quality records.
• Follow all ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality system requirements.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Consistently follow all safety policies, procedures, and machine guarding requirements.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve production and quality goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience operating mechanical stamping presses in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments, including:
• • Micrometers
  • Calipers
  • Gauges
• Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred

• Experience with Minster presses.
• Experience using DiPro and SmartPac press packs.
• Technical school training in machine tooling or a related field.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 90% of the workday.
• Frequently move throughout the work area to access machinery and equipment.
• Manual dexterity to operate machinery and perform precision work.
• Visual ability to inspect parts and read prints and instructions.
• Ability to lift and move materials and equipment weighing up to 60 pounds.
• Ability to handle finished parts weighing up to 40 pounds.
