Responsibilities
- Operate, set-up, and trouble shoot flexographic printing presses and auxiliary equipment, all in accordance with production standards and productivity goals.
- Including: utilization of product specs (copy card), changing plates, cylinders, and dies.
- Maintain machines by performing basic maintenance including lubricants, replace minor parts, and requests major maintenance when necessary.
- Maintain work area utilizing 5S methods.
- Report machine and equipment malfunctions immediately to the group leader, maintenance and/or supervisor.
- Accurately complete all required paperwork in a timely manner.
- Cross-train and work multiple press lines and equipment as needed.
- Quality Control: Follow all quality inspection plans. This involves measuring, checking, and testing various processes and product parameters. Meet established goals for material scrap and yield.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with all plant leadership and departments such as engineering, procurement, customer service, and logistics to coordinate production activities, address technical issues, standardize processes, and optimize supply chain processes.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction. Support all continuous improvement initiatives as required via participation and or implementation.
- Health and Safety Compliance:
- Operate machines in a safe, efficient manner in accordance with established rules and regulations.
- Follow and comply with health and safety regulations.
- Report any unsafe condition(s), injury, or accident immediately to immediate supervisor or other member of management.
- Provide improvement suggestions as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by floor or plant leadership.

Education And/Or Experience: Associates degree (AA) or equivalent from two year college or technical school; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
