PRESS MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Are you a skilled maintenance professional who knows how to troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild heavy industrial equipment? Do you have hands-on experience with mechanical presses, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems?

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a Press Maintenance Technician, you'll play a critical role in keeping production equipment running safely and efficiently. You'll troubleshoot equipment, perform repairs and preventive maintenance, and help minimize costly downtime.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Disassemble, repair, rebuild, and reassemble metal-forming presses

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems

  • Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on production equipment

  • Use hand and power tools, welders, torque wrenches, impacts, magnetic drills, and hydraulic jacks

  • Perform rigging, grinding, fitting, scraping, and machine alignment

  • Install and maintain hydraulic, pneumatic, and lubrication systems

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals

  • Inspect equipment before and after repairs to ensure proper operation

  • Assist with new equipment installation and continuous improvement projects

  • Work closely with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams

  • Complete maintenance documentation accurately and on time

  • Train and mentor Maintenance Trainees and assist with training on new equipment

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on industrial maintenance experience and the ability to diagnose problems quickly and safely.

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of manufacturing and machine maintenance experience

  • Experience maintaining, rebuilding, or repairing mechanical presses or heavy industrial equipment

  • Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems

  • Experience using hand and power tools

  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with a commitment to safety and quality

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Comfortable working with oils, grease, solvents, and in confined spaces

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

Experience with any of the following is a plus:

Robotics • PLCs • Automation • Mechanical Handling Systems
