Press Brake Operator - Weekend Shift

What You'll Do

Press Brake Operations

• Set up and operate CNC and manual press brake equipment according to work instructions and production schedules.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
• Select proper tooling and make machine adjustments to achieve required tolerances.
• Perform bends and forming operations while maintaining dimensional accuracy.
• Verify first-piece and in-process inspections to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Maintain production efficiency while meeting quality standards.

Quality & Inspection

• Inspect finished parts using measuring tools and inspection equipment.
• Verify dimensions, bend angles, and overall conformance to specifications.
• Identify and report quality concerns or machine issues.
• Maintain accurate production and quality records as required.

Material Handling & Production Support

• Load, unload, and move materials safely throughout the production process.
• Organize completed parts and prepare materials for downstream operations.
• Assist other production departments as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Safety & Continuous Improvement

• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Participate in safety meetings and training activities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Properly use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Contribute ideas that improve safety, quality, and operational efficiency.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Experience operating press brake equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work instructions.
• Ability to accurately use measuring instruments, including tape measures, calipers, and angle gauges.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
• Knowledge of both metric and imperial measurement systems.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Ability to routinely lift and maneuver materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CNC press brake programming and setup.
• Experience using precision inspection equipment.
• Forklift experience.
• Experience in a fabrication or sheet metal manufacturing environment.

Work Environment

• Indoor manufacturing environment.
• Fast-paced production setting with established production goals.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and material handling.
• Exposure to machinery, metal fabrication processes, and production equipment.
• Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn on the production floor.
