Shift: 1st Shift | Monday– Thursday, 6: 00 AM– 4: 30 PM
Pay: $18+/hr, based on experience
Schedule: 4-day workweek with overtime opportunities on FridaysPosition OverviewInova Staffing is seeking a Press Brake Operator for our client in Willoughby. This position is open to candidates ranging from entry-level to highly experienced. The ideal candidate will have manufacturing experience and be comfortable working with CNC and mechanical press brakes, tooling, and precision measuring equipment.Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup and operation of CNC and mechanical press brakes
- Operate shears, brakes, punches, and other light metalworking equipment
- Produce carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum parts according to customer drawings and specifications
- Read customer drawings and understand measurements and tolerances
- Use measuring tools and gauges to inspect finished parts
- Monitor parts for quality and report any discrepancies or machine/tooling issues
- Record production time, quantities, scrap, and materials used
- Perform light machine and tooling maintenance
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Follow company policies, procedures, and OSHA safety requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred
- Entry-level candidates with a strong willingness to learn are encouraged to apply
- Ability to read and understand basic drawings and measurements
- Experience using measuring tools and gauges
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow safety procedures and work around moving machinery
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Frequent use of hands for handling and operating equipment
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with machinery and elevated noise levels
