    Our client is looking for a Press Brake Operator to join their team. Our client specializes in precision metal fabrication, custom electronic enclosures, and deep-drawn components for a variety of industries.

    The Press Brake Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of sheet metal fabrication equipment, including CNC punch presses, CNC press brakes, and fiber laser cutting machines.



    Responsibilities/Duties:
    - Set up and operate CNC and/or mechanical sheet metal fabrication equipment.
    - Operate CNC punch presses, press brakes, fiber laser cutting machines, and other fabrication equipment as needed.
    - Perform complete or partial machine setups, including tooling changes, material setup, program selection, and first-piece verification.
    - Set up and operate CNC press brakes, including selection and installation of punches and dies, back gauge setup, bend sequence verification, and part inspection.
    - Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, and job travelers.
    - Read and understand dimensions, tolerances, bend specifications, hole locations, and other product requirements.
    - Use precision measuring equipment including calipers, height gauges, angle gauges, and other inspection tools.
    - Perform first-piece and in-process inspections to ensure parts meet quality requirements.
    - Adjust machine programs and machine settings as necessary to maintain dimensional accuracy and product quality.
    - Select appropriate tooling, dies, punches, and forming methods based on material type, thickness, and part requirements.
    - Load, unload, and safely handle sheet metal and fabricated components.
    - Monitor machine performance and identify potential quality, tooling, material, or equipment issues.
    - Troubleshoot basic machine and production problems and communicate more complex issues to supervision or maintenance.

    Requirements/Qualifications:
    - High school diploma or GED preferred.
    - Hands-on experience in sheet metal fabrication.
    - 5+ years experience operating one or more of the following:
    o CNC punch presses
    o CNC press brakes
    o Fiber laser cutting machines
    o Other CNC sheet metal fabrication equipment
    - Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
    - Strong understanding of sheet metal materials, including material thickness, bend characteristics, and forming requirements.
    - Experience using precision measuring equipment.
    - Ability to perform machine setups and make adjustments to maintain part quality.
    - Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
    - Ability to regularly lift and move materials and parts within established safety guidelines.
    - Experience with CNC press brake programming or editing existing programs highly preferred.
