About eGain

eGain (NASDAQ: EGAN) is building the trusted knowledge platform that every enterprise AI ambition will run on. We call this category AI Knowledge Infrastructure, and we intend to define and lead it.

The market has already told us we are ahead. In July 2026, Gartner named eGain a Leader in its inaugural Magic Quadrant for Knowledge Management Systems for Customer Service, placing us highest on both Ability to Execute and Completeness of Vision. At Solve '26 in Chicago, we released an eGain-sponsored IDC study of 500+ US enterprise leaders showing that trusted knowledge infrastructure is what makes high AI ROI possible at scale.

Our technology lead keeps widening. The eGain AI Knowledge Hub, now extended with Knowledge Graphs, kForge, Smart Evaluator, Genie and WYCA, powers our newly launched AI Knowledge Ops loop: a continuous system for creating, governing, delivering and improving the knowledge that AI agents and people rely on.

We proved this in customer service, the toughest proving ground there is, with customers such as JPMorgan Chase, Liberty Mutual, Allianz, Aviva, the IRS and BUPA. The next chapter is taking that platform across the rest of the enterprise as infrastructure.

The Role

The President will turn eGain's technology and analyst leadership into market dominance. Reporting to Ashu Roy, CEO and co-founder, you will own the go-to-market engine end to end: positioning, brand, demand, sales, partners and the ecosystem.

This is a builder's role, not a caretaker's. You will design a new go-to-market and brand around advantages we already hold, recruit a world-class leadership team, and expand eGain from the leader in customer service knowledge into the knowledge infrastructure layer for the whole enterprise.

What You Will Do

• Build the new go-to-market. Design and launch a GTM strategy anchored in eGain's three proof points: best-in-class technology, Gartner Magic Quadrant leadership, and the IDC evidence that knowledge infrastructure drives AI ROI at scale.
• Create the category and the brand. Establish "AI Knowledge Infrastructure" as a recognized category with eGain as its defining brand, across analysts, media, customers and investors.
• Drive product-led and ecosystem-led growth. Build motions that let buyers try, adopt and expand on their own, and scale through hyperscalers, data platforms, systems integrators and technology partners.
• Expand beyond customer service. Take the platform from customer operations into IT, HR, compliance, sales and other enterprise functions, with a focus on regulated industries such as financial services, healthcare and government.
• Accelerate new-logo growth. Lead sales, marketing, partnerships and customer success to sharply increase new enterprise wins and expansion revenue.
• Attract and build a world-class team. Recruit, develop and retain exceptional leaders who can execute at the pace of the AI market.
• Partner with the CEO and product leadership. Turn customer and market insight into product direction, packaging and pricing, and serve as a visible external voice for eGain.

First 12 Months

Success in year one means eGain's leadership is visible in the market and showing up in the numbers.

• A new GTM strategy and brand for AI Knowledge Infrastructure, launched and adopted across the company
• Your core leadership team in place across sales, marketing, partnerships and customer success
• A measurable step-change in new enterprise logos and pipeline
• At least one repeatable motion live beyond customer service
• Product-led and partner-sourced channels contributing meaningful pipeline
• eGain recognized by analysts, media and buyers as the category's defining name

Who You Are

You are a technologist who became a growth leader, and you are fluent in today's AI landscape.

• Undergraduate degree in computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics or a related field from a leading US university. An MBA or a technical master's degree is a strong plus.
• Technical roots. You started by building software, tools or platforms, and you can go deep with engineers, architects and CIOs.
• Product to market. You moved from building products into product leadership and then into product-led sales and ecosystem-driven growth.
• 15+ years in enterprise software, with deep, current hands-on fluency in AI, data and agentic systems.
• Startup and hypergrowth track record. Proven results as a co-founder or senior leader in a high-growth technology company, where you scaled revenue, teams and markets.
• Category builder. You have shaped how a market thinks about a problem, not just competed in an existing one.
• Talent magnet. People follow you. You attract, build and keep world-class teams.
• Enterprise credibility. Experience selling to large, regulated enterprises (financial services, healthcare, government) is highly valued.

Location and Working Model

The role is based at eGain's Bay Area headquarters, and we strongly prefer a candidate who lives in the area and works on site. Hybrid arrangements will be considered for exceptional candidates. Candidates must be based in the United States.
