The Art Farm NYC is seeking enthusiastic, experienced educators to lead preschool classrooms for children ages 3–5 years old during our Summer Camp Program.
This is an excellent opportunity for Preschool Teachers, Pre-K Teachers, Early Childhood Educators, Childcare Professionals, and Elementary Educators looking for a rewarding summer position in a creative, child-centered environment.
We are currently hiring for our Upper West Side locations and are interviewing qualified candidates immediately.
About The Role
As a Preschool Summer Camp Teacher, you will lead a classroom of young campers through engaging daily activities that promote creativity, exploration, social development, and fun. Teachers work closely with camp leadership and fellow staff members to create a positive and memorable summer experience for every child.
Responsibilities
- Lead a classroom of children ages 3–5
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment
- Facilitate arts, crafts, games, outdoor activities, and enrichment experiences
- Support children's social-emotional growth and positive behavior
- Maintain classroom routines and supervise daily transitions
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and camp leadership
- Communicate professionally with families and staff
- Ensure camper safety and well-being at all times
- Complete incident reports and other required documentation as needed
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development, or a related field
- Experience working with young children in a preschool, school, childcare, camp, or educational setting
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Positive, energetic, and professional attitude
Preferred
- New York State Teaching Certification
- Lead Teacher experience
- Summer camp experience
- Experience working with preschool-aged children
