    Preschool Teacher Job Description

    We are seeking a nurturing, dependable, and engaging Preschool Teacher to create a safe and positive learning environment for young children. The ideal candidate will support the social, emotional, physical, and academic development of students through age-appropriate instruction, creative activities, and strong classroom management.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards
    • Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment
    • Supervise children during classroom activities, meals, outdoor play, and transitions
    • Encourage social, emotional, and cognitive development through play-based learning
    • Monitor and document student progress and developmental milestones
    • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performance and behavior
    • Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and educational materials
    • Support students with varying learning styles and developmental needs
    • Collaborate with staff and administration to support school goals and student success
    • Ensure compliance with all licensing, health, and safety regulations

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
    • CDA (Child Development Associate) credential preferred
    • Previous experience working with preschool-aged children preferred
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to manage classroom behavior positively and effectively
    • CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain
