    Job Summary

    The Preschool Teacher will plan and implement age-appropriate learning activities for preschool children, maintain a safe and positive classroom environment, and partner with families to support each child’s development.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Plan, prepare, and deliver developmentally appropriate classroom activities (creative, literacy, math, science, and play-based learning).
    • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom following school policies and licensing requirements.
    • Support children’s social and emotional growth through positive guidance and encouragement.
    • Create lesson plans and classroom routines that promote independence, curiosity, and learning.
    • Observe and document children’s progress as required by the school.
    • Communicate professionally with parents/guardians about classroom activities and student needs.
    • Supervise children at all times, including indoor and outdoor activities.
    • Collaborate with co-teachers and staff to ensure a consistent and engaging learning environment.

    Qualifications

    • Experience working with preschool-aged children preferred (required if applicable—edit as needed).
    • High school diploma or equivalent; CDA/Associate’s/Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred (edit requirements to match your needs).
    • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Warm, patient, and dependable attitude with a genuine love for working with young children.

    Physical Requirements (Typical)

    • Ability to supervise children and participate in classroom activities.
    • Ability to lift/push/pull small items and perform routine classroom tasks.
