Schedule/Hours: M - F 9:00 pm- 5:30 pm- 40 hours a week
This position is responsible for:
Provides pre-school services for children including personal care, hygiene, learning and development activities and specialized programs; plans, develops, and teaches pre-school classes; prepares and maintains records; maintains cleanliness and orderliness of childcare property.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides constant care for the needs of the children in an efficient, clean, loving, safe, secure, and healthy manner.
- Develops and implements lesson plans which are age-group program specific; utilizes age-group appropriate discovery areas, enriched with program-specific activities, including teacher-made materials and hands-on activities.
- Provides opportunities for physical and mental stimulation through both inside and outside learning activities.
- Organizes and supervises recreational activities; observes, monitors, and supervises children on the playground
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Ability to lift, hold, and carry children on a regular basis (up to 50 lbs.).
- Duties are usually performed by combinations of sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent change basis.
- Work is performed in a normal pre-school environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like
