The Goddard School® in Huntingdon Valley, PA, is seeking a passionate, creative, and dependable Preschool Lead Teacher to join our team!
As a Lead Teacher, you'll create an engaging, nurturing classroom where children ages 3–4 can explore, discover, and develop a lifelong love of learning. You'll have the opportunity to bring your creativity to the classroom while working alongside a supportive leadership team that values your ideas and professional growth.

What You'll Do
- Lead a preschool classroom and implement creative, developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities.
- Foster children's independence, confidence, social-emotional development, and kindergarten readiness.
- Create a positive classroom environment using consistent routines and age-appropriate behavior guidance.
- Observe children's development and adapt learning experiences to meet individual needs.
- Mentor and collaborate with Assistant Teachers to maintain a successful classroom.
- Build meaningful relationships with families and communicate regularly about children's progress.
- Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming learning environment.
- Collaborate with school leadership and fellow teachers to share ideas and best practices.
Qualifications
- Experience working with preschool-aged children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting preferred.
- Must meet Pennsylvania's educational and experience requirements for a Lead Teacher.
- Associate or bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
- A positive, patient, nurturing personality and genuine passion for working with children.
- Dependable, enthusiastic, and committed to teamwork.
- Ability to meet Pennsylvania background check, clearance, and training requirements.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.

About Company
The Goddard School provides the foundation to encourage a child's lifelong love of learning .In our warm, caring atmosphere, dedicated teachers support the development of children from 6 weeks to 8 years old. Our year round program offers families the choice of either half day or full day schedule.
We are delighted to be the on-site owners of The Goddard School on Theodore Street in Plainfield. We welcome the opportunity for you to join our team by providing the best educational child care for children. Our play-based curriculum taught by our wonderful degreed teachers in a nurturing learning environment, is tailored to meet the social, intellectual, physical and emotional needs of each individual child. We are not a daycare, but rather a preschool with purpose.
