Are you a passionate Preschool Teacher who loves helping children develop the confidence and skills they need for kindergarten?
The Learning Experience- Hell's Kitchen is hiring a qualified Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team!
We're looking for an educator who can create an engaging, structured classroom where preschoolers build independence, friendships, and essential early learning skills through purposeful play and hands-on experiences.
A bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or higher is required for this position.
What You'll Do
- Lead daily learning experiences and routines in a Preschool classroom
- Implement The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum through engaging, age-appropriate lessons
- Encourage early literacy, math, science, language, and social-emotional development
- Create hands-on learning experiences through art, music, movement, and purposeful play
- Support kindergarten readiness, independence, and positive peer relationships
- Maintain consistent classroom routines and use positive behavior guidance
- Observe developmental milestones and maintain classroom documentation
- Build strong relationships and communicate regularly with families
- Collaborate with Assistant Teachers and center leadership
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized learning environment
- Follow NYC childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education required
- Minimum 90 college credits in Early Childhood Education, as specified for this position
- Previous professional preschool or early childhood education experience preferred
- Strong understanding of preschool development, classroom management, and kindergarten readiness
- Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills
- Patient, dependable, creative, and passionate about early childhood education
- Must meet applicable NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene childcare requirements
