The Learning Experience - Gaithersburg is hiring a caring, creative, and qualified Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team!
We're looking for an educator who enjoys bringing learning to life through hands-on activities, building meaningful relationships with children, and creating a classroom where preschoolers feel confident, supported, and excited to learn.
Candidates must meet Maryland's Preschool Teacher qualification requirements.
What You'll Do
- Lead daily classroom activities and routines for preschool-aged children
- Implement The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum through engaging, age-appropriate lessons
- Encourage early literacy, math, science, language, and social-emotional development
- Create hands-on learning experiences through art, music, movement, and purposeful play
- Help children develop independence, confidence, problem-solving skills, and positive friendships
- Maintain consistent classroom routines and use positive behavior guidance
- Observe developmental milestones and maintain required classroom documentation
- Build strong relationships and communicate regularly with families
- Collaborate with Assistant Teachers and center leadership
- Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and welcoming classroom
- Follow Maryland childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements
Qualifications
- Must meet Maryland Office of Child Care requirements for a qualified Preschool Teacher
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous professional preschool, daycare, childcare, or early childhood education experience preferred
- Early Childhood Education coursework, CDA, or related credentials are a plus
- Understanding of preschool development, classroom management, and positive guidance
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
- Patient, dependable, nurturing, and enthusiastic about early childhood education
- Must meet all applicable Maryland childcare licensing requirements
