Requirements / Qualifications

Minimum Requirements: - Possession of a California Child Development Assistant Permit - OR - six (6) units in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child Development AND Applicants must meet one (1) of the following para-educator qualifications: • A minimum of an AA degree or higher • Completion of a minimum of 48 semester units • Certification of completion of ROP Para-educator Course (CODESP test) • Pass CBEST If you need information on the ROP Para-educator Course, contact the Fairfield - Suisun Adult School at (707) 421-4155

REQUIRED: Attach all requested documents to your application electronically. You will need to scan each document separately. Make sure the file size for each attachment is 1 MB or lower. PDF format is preferred.

• Copy of Transcript ( California Child Development Assistant Permit OR 6 units in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child Development)
• CPR/First Aid Certification (Must be from an In-Person hands on Course)
