Pay: $17–$20 per hour, based on experience and credentials Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday
The Learning Experience – Canton is hiring a passionate Preschool Lead Teacher to create a classroom where children are excited to learn, explore, create, and grow.
As a Lead Teacher, you’ll take ownership of your classroom while helping preschoolers strengthen their early academic skills, independence, confidence, and friendships in preparation for kindergarten and beyond.
What You’ll Do
- Lead a positive, structured, and engaging Preschool classroom
- Implement The Learning Experience’s proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum
- Create hands-on experiences supporting early literacy, math, science, creativity, and social-emotional learning
- Encourage independence, communication, problem-solving, and kindergarten-readiness skills
- Maintain consistent routines and positive classroom guidance
- Observe children’s development and maintain classroom documentation
- Build meaningful relationships and communicate regularly with families
- Guide and collaborate with Assistant Teachers
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom
- Follow Michigan childcare licensing requirements
What We’re Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Previous professional preschool or early childhood teaching experience strongly preferred
- Lead Teacher experience preferred
- CDA, Early Childhood Education coursework, or related credentials are a plus
- Strong classroom leadership and communication skills
- Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices
- Must meet applicable Michigan childcare licensing requirements
