Preschool Instructional Assistant - Maternity Leave Coverage

We are seeking a caring and dependable Preschool Instructional Assistant to support our classroom during a maternity leave. The assistant will work closely with the preschool teacher to create a safe, welcoming environment where young children can learn and grow.
Responsibilities
- Support classroom activities, play, and daily routines.
- Work with individual students and small groups under the teacher's direction.
- Help children develop communication, social, and independence skills.
- Assist with meals, toileting, hygiene, and transitions as needed.
- Support students with diverse learning needs and follow teacher-directed accommodations and behavior supports.
- Prepare materials, maintain an organized classroom, and supervise students.
- Maintain student confidentiality and communicate effectively with staff.
Qualifications
- Experience working with young children preferred.
- Patience, flexibility, and strong teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow teacher guidance and respond to individual student needs.
- Must meet district employment requirements and complete required background checks.
