Preschool Director

Operated by Sonoran Schools and located on the campus of Sonoran Science Academy Tucson, DELA is a state-licensed, 5-STAR Quality First provider and Cognia-accredited program. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Preschool Director to lead daily operations and continue building a high-quality, nurturing learning environment.

The Daisy Early Learning Academy (DELA) is a private early childhood program dedicated to the care and education of children ages 3 through pre-K. Operated by Sonoran Schools and located on the campus of Sonoran Science Academy Tucson, DELA is a state-licensed, 5-STAR Quality First provider and Cognia-accredited program. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Preschool Director to lead daily operations and continue building a high-quality, nurturing learning environment.

 

Your Role Will Include:

• Overseeing daily operations and administration of the preschool program.
• Hiring, training, and managing staff in collaboration with the campus principal.
• Developing curricula and policies that meet state licensing, Quality First, and Cognia accreditation standards.
• Managing financial transactions, budgets, and accurate recordkeeping.
• Scheduling ongoing professional development and training for teaching staff.
• Ensuring the facility is well-maintained and that health and safety standards are upheld.
• Overseeing meal planning and preparation for students.
• Serving as a communicative and collaborative partner with stakeholders, families, and school leadership.

Qualifications:

• Degree in early childhood development or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a director or administrative leadership role.
• Minimum 3 years of classroom experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Genuine love for children and passion for early childhood education.
• Child Care Administrator License (preferred).
• Experience with Quality First Program and Cognia/AdvancEd Accreditation (preferred).
• Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Salary and Benefits:

• Pay: $55,000 to $65,000 per year.

Location & Shift Times:

• Daisy Early Learning Academy at Sonoran Science Academy. 
• Monday through Friday.
