    Christ Community Lutheran School has an opening to join our Early Childhood Education team as a Full-Time Assistant Teacher in our 4's Room. The ideal candidate will have experience caring for preschoolers, including older four-year-olds and younger five-year-olds. As an Assistant Teacher in our ECE program, you have a direct impact on precious little ones... as well as young, new parents and even whole families.

    4's Assistant Duties
    • Help prepare Pre-K students for a confident and successful transition to kindergarten
    • Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children
    • Provide small-group and individualized support, helping children strengthen skills and reach developmental goals
    • Use technology for professional development and communication with parents and team members
    • Collaborate with lead teacher and other staff members to create a positive and supportive team environment
    • Stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 30 pounds
    Schedule
    • Standard full-time hourly schedule is 7:45 a.m. until 3:45 p.m.
    • Total working time: 40 hours per week
    • Potential Start Date: Monday, August 17, 2026
    • Annual Cycle: position typically runs August 1 through June 1 (ten months)
    • By default, June and July are off work (no duties/no pay)
    • Summer employment also available (optional)
    Requirements
    • Associate's degree or higher preferred
    • Experience working with preschoolers
    • Knowledge of early childhood development and best practices
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work collaboratively with others
    • Passion for teaching and working with children
    • Alignment with CCLS mission and statement of faith
    Compensation and Benefits
    • Hourly pay rate $16.00/hour ($17.00 if Bachelor's degree completed)
