Preschool Assistant Teacher (Ages 3–4) – The Goddard School

The Goddard School is looking for an enthusiastic, caring, and dependable Preschool Teacher to join our team! You'll work alongside experienced teachers in our preschool classroom, helping children ages 3–4 learn, grow, and develop confidence through play-based learning.
We're looking for someone who brings positive energy, creativity, patience, and a genuine love for children. If you're passionate about early childhood education and want to work in a fun, supportive environment where your contributions are valued, we'd love to meet you!
What You'll Do
- Partner with the Lead Teacher to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing classroom.
- Assist with daily lessons, hands-on learning activities, arts and crafts, and creative play.
- Encourage independence, social skills, problem-solving, and kindergarten readiness.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
- Support classroom routines, transitions, and positive behavior guidance.
- Communicate with families about their children's daily experiences and milestones.
- Help maintain an organized, welcoming, and stimulating learning environment.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience working with young children preferred.
- A genuine passion for early childhood education.
- Positive, patient, dependable, and enthusiastic personality.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage classroom activities and respond calmly to challenging situations.
- Ability to meet Pennsylvania childcare background check and clearance requirements.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.

The Goddard School provides the foundation to encourage a child's lifelong love of learning .In our warm, caring atmosphere, dedicated teachers support the development of children from 6 weeks to 8 years old. Our year round program offers families the choice of either half day or full day schedule.
