What You'll Do
As our Preschool Assistant Teacher, you'll work alongside a Lead Teacher to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom where children develop confidence, independence, and a love of learning.
You'll:
- Assist with daily lessons and classroom activities using Goddard's Wonder of Learning® curriculum.
- Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Help prepare children for kindergarten through hands-on learning and meaningful experiences.
- Encourage positive behavior, independence, and appropriate classroom routines.
- Assist with classroom organization, transitions, and daily activities.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow teachers.
- Support the Lead Teacher in maintaining a structured, engaging learning environment.
- Maintain strong health, safety, and licensing standards.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous childcare or preschool experience preferred.
- Experience working with children ages 3–5 is a plus.
- Patient, nurturing, dependable, and enthusiastic.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn and grow professionally.
- Must meet Pennsylvania childcare licensing requirements and pass required background checks.
