Clean Eatz Orland Park is looking for a reliable, energetic, and detail-oriented
Prep Cook / Café Line Cook to join our kitchen team.
This position offers a combination of preparing healthy meals for our weekly meal plans and cooking fresh, made-to-order food for our café customers.
We're looking for someone who enjoys working in a team environment, takes pride in food quality, and can balance efficiency with attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Meal Production & Preparation
- Prepare ingredients and cook proteins, vegetables, grains, and other menu items according to established recipes.
- Assist with weekly meal production, including portioning, assembling, packaging, and labeling meals.
- Follow standardized recipes and portion guidelines to maintain consistency.
- Help organize ingredients and prepare for upcoming production schedules.
Café Cooking
- Prepare and cook made-to-order café meals accurately and efficiently.
- Work the cooking line during café service.
- Maintain consistent food quality, presentation, and portion sizes.
- Manage multiple orders while maintaining speed and accuracy.
- Assist with opening, closing, and cleaning kitchen stations.
Kitchen Operations
- Follow proper food safety, sanitation, and storage procedures.
- Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked workstations.
- Assist with inventory rotation and receiving deliveries.
- Work cooperatively with team members to keep kitchen operations running smoothly.
What We're Looking For
- Previous restaurant, line cooking, or food preparation experience preferred.
- Ability to follow recipes and standardized cooking procedures.
- Comfortable working in both meal production and made-to-order café service.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Dependable, punctual, and committed to teamwork.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Food Handler Certification preferred or willingness to obtain one.
