Midway Diner is looking for a dependable, organized, and hardworking Prep Cook to join our back-of-house team. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced kitchen, take pride in quality and consistency, and want to be part of a supportive team, we'd love to meet you.

As a Prep Cook, you'll play an essential role in preparing fresh ingredients and ensuring the kitchen is ready for every service. Your attention to detail, organization, and commitment to food safety will help our kitchen team deliver exceptional meals to every guest.

What You'll Do

• Prepare ingredients according to recipes, prep lists, and kitchen standards.
• Wash, chop, portion, and label food items accurately.
• Stock kitchen stations with prepared ingredients before and during service.
• Rotate inventory using First In, First Out (FIFO) practices.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary prep area.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department standards.
• Assist line cooks and kitchen leadership with food preparation and additional kitchen tasks as needed.
• Help maintain a safe, efficient, and organized kitchen environment.
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations.

• Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work comfortably in both refrigerated and hot kitchen environments.
