Have a passion for food, fresh ingredients, and great flavor? Pellicano’s Marketplace is expanding, and we’re looking for a talented Full-Time or Part-Time Prep Cook / Sous Chef to bring their culinary skills to our busy Deli Department in Wheatfield!
At Pellicano's, you’re never just a line cook—you’re an essential part of a family tradition built on authentic recipes, quality food, and community pride.
What You'll Do:
Craft Signature Dishes: Prepare, cook, and present authentic Pellicano’s recipes, daily deli offerings, and custom catering orders to perfection.
Master Quality & Prep: Follow prep lists, maintain precise portion sizes, test/temp foods for perfect quality, and pull ingredients per par levels to ensure absolute freshness with zero waste.
Lead the Kitchen: Help guide kitchen operations, assist with training new team members, and ensure closing tasks are completed smoothly.
Maintain High Standards: Keep walk-in coolers, food prep stations, and cooking equipment pristine, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience: 3–5 years of cooking experience required (kitchen leadership or sous chef experience is a big plus!).
Culinary Drive: A self-starter with strong multitasking skills, incredible attention to detail, and a passion for food quality.
Schedule: Available for Full-Time (40 hours/week, including mandatory weekends) or Part-Time.
