Prep Cook – Early Morning Shift

Schedule: Early morning shifts starting at 6:00 a.m.

Position Overview

We’re looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our early-morning team. This is a hands-on role focused on preparing the kitchen for the day so our restaurant is ready to serve guests with quality food from the moment we open. You’ll work independently and play a key part in setting the foundation for a smooth and successful day.

Key Responsibilities

• Work independently to prepare the kitchen for daily operations
• Slice and prepare vegetables according to Culver’s standards
• Set up steam tables and other kitchen stations
• Take and record temperatures of prepared foods to ensure food safety
• Follow portion guides and prep lists to prepare the correct amounts of food
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area
• Follow all Culver’s food safety and preparation procedures

Ideal Candidate

• Reliable and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Comfortable starting early (6:00 a.m. shifts)
• Detail-oriented and committed to food safety and quality
• Ability to follow written guides and recipes accurately
• Previous kitchen or food-prep experience is a plus, but not required
• Team player who takes pride in helping the restaurant succeed

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift, carry, and move items as needed in a kitchen environment
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced food-service setting
