Our client, a busy spa location in Carrollton is hiring a
Sushi / Korean Food Prep Cook to support their in-house restaurant. This is a prep-forward role for someone who is reliable, clean, fast, and
highly skilled with knives for daily slicing, portioning, and ingredient prep. Strong food safety habits and consistency are a must.
Responsibilities
- Prep ingredients for sushi and Korean menu items (vegetables, proteins, rice, sauces, garnishes)
- Perform daily knife work with speed, accuracy, and safe technique
- Portion, label, date, and store products properly (FIFO rotation)
- Assist with basic assembly during service as needed
- Maintain a clean and sanitary prep station, tools, and kitchen area
- Follow kitchen procedures and food safety standards
Requirements
- Prior kitchen prep experience (sushi and/or Korean prep experience preferred)
- Strong knife skills (this role requires daily cutting and prep work)
- Reliable attendance and ability to work a consistent 10 AM 7 PM shift
- Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced kitchen
- Team-oriented, respectful, and detail-focused
Preferred:
- Experience working in an Asian restaurant (Japanese/Korean/other)
- Ability to speak Korean (conversational or fluent)
