About the Role:Ballerina Restaurant Inc in Bal Harbour, FL is looking for a talented and motivated Prep Cook to join our kitchen team! Responsibilities:- Prepare and portion ingredients according to recipes and chef instructions
- Wash, peel, chop, slice, and dice vegetables, proteins, and other ingredients
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout each shift
- Assist line cooks and kitchen staff during service to ensure smooth operations
- Properly store and label food items following FIFO (first in, first out) procedures
- Monitor and rotate stock, alerting management to low inventory levels
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health code standards at all times
Requirements:- Prior experience as a prep cook, kitchen assistant, or in a similar culinary role preferred
- Basic knife skills and familiarity with standard kitchen equipment
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines (ServSafe certification a plus)
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistent food quality
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player with a positive attitude
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed
