As a Registered Nurse at Ambulatory Surgery Center Tampa, you’ll have all the staffing support, technology and resources you need to deliver safe, high-quality care—so you can focus on what you do best.
Join our team as a Perioperative Nurse in our ambulatory surgery center. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating the nursing care rendered preoperatively and postoperatively until your patients are discharged. What you will do in this role:
Prepare your patients’ care area adequately before case
Ensure availability of necessary equipment and supplies for your patients’ procedure
Conduct complete physical, and psychological assessment and evaluation of your patients’ history and diagnostic tests
Administer pre-operative medications and intravenous therapy as prescribed
You will exhibit proper technique for insertion, maintenance, and removal of IV catheters and saline locks
Check dressings and/or operative site of your patients and report abnormalities to the surgeon
Ensure your patients meet discharge criteria
Qualifications you will need:
Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or Higher degree in Nursing Required
1+ years of nursing experience in a clinical setting, preferably in PACU, ICU or Surgery
Active RN license as required by state of employment
BCLS Certification upon employment. ***online certification not acceptable
ACLS required within 30-days of hire
PALS if required by facility within 30-days of hire

We offer orthopedic, ophthalmology, GI, urology, podiatry, plastics and pain management services to the residents of Hillsborough and Pasco counties. We see over 500 cases a month. The center has 100% physician survey participation. Our attentive nurses and supportive administrative staff are dedicated to providing the highest quality care.
