This job opportunity is available at ANY location in the United States. The selected candidate will support ongoing Data Center projects in South Carolina, Louisiana, Texas and future locations with up to 50% travel required. Ideally, selected candidates will be near a JACOBS U.S. based office, but we intend to hire the "best" candidates.

Jacobs' Advanced Manufacturing group is seeking a proactive and resourceful Preconstruction Project Manager. The Preconstruction Project Manager will work to bridge the gap between engineering design and construction within necessary timelines, established budgets and exceeding the expectations of our clients. This role involves extensive communication with the design, procurement, scheduling and construction teams to develop plans, and mitigate risks against schedule, budget, safety or quality of the overall project. The Preconstruction Project Manager's primary objective is to ensure construction projects are properly planned and coordinated from the early phases of design with a smooth transition into construction.

Responsibilities:

• Support the preconstruction team on various assigned tasks involved in preconstruction planning deliverables including bid package development, scheduling, estimating, virtual design and construction modeling, and reporting
• Participate as a key contributor and knowledge base for the overall design constructability and sequencing plan
• Drive collaboration between various stakeholders
• Know Client Expectations and Manage Client Interface
• Lead planning efforts including strategy development, and execution with design, procurement and construction management teams to ensure efficient and timely flow of information
• Conduct constructability reviews during all phases of design to include the appropriate construction and trade resources for synchronized reviews.
• Support the review of modularization and off-site manufacturing studies
• Support estimate and schedule development and recommend opportunities for optimization based on previous experience, and value driven solutions
• Develop subcontracting and procurement strategies in collaboration with the construction management and procurement teams
• Support the development of 4-D visualizations
• Develop thorough site logistics plans including utility, offsite or other requirements
• Coordinate with Jacobs safety, quality, project services and technical services groups to ensure a comprehensive preconstruction planning process
• Prepare and Maintain Risk Registers and Mitigation Plans
• Work to build a cooperative partnership between the client, contractor and all stakeholders to ensure a timely resolution of project issues and the overall success of the project.

Here's what you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or equivalent degree; or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree
• 5+ years experience in managing construction projects related to industrial and/or commercial facilities
• Experience with 3D Modelling software
• Field Construction Experience on active construction projects
• Effective communication and leadership skills
• Experience optimizing construction scheduling and sequencing
• Ability and willingness to travel to support project and client needs during planning, design, procurement and early construction phases. Travel requirements will vary based on project needs and may be up to 50% of working time, including extended periods at client sites, construction sites, fabrication facilities and project offices throughout North America. Travel frequency may fluctuate based on project lifecycle and business needs.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment while supporting project teams and stakeholders located across multiple time zones. This role requires a balance between remote work and in person participation for project meetings, workshops, client engagements, design reviews, constructability reviews, and execution planning sessions as required. Flexibility to support project needs outside the candidate's local time zone is expected to accommodate

Ideally, You'll Also Have:

• Working knowledge of design and pre-construction, building systems/components and technology, contract management, project delivery methods, team building and client relationship building
• Advanced knowledge of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Systems), architectural systems, civil and structural systems, and/or general building construction and maintenance
• Knowledge and familiarity with developing and updating project schedules from Level 1 through Level 4 detail
• Working knowledge in construction project sequencing and ability to utilize 3D/4D technologies such as BIM 360, REVIT, CM Builder or others.
• Data Center Experience is a plus

134,500.00

Posted Salary Range: Upper

185,000.00

The base salary range for this position is $134,500.00 to $185,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
