Preconstruction Manager

A well-established general contractor with over 100 years in the industry is looking to add a Preconstruction Manager to its growing Charlotte team. With more than $600M in annual revenue and a strong presence throughout the Midwest and Southeast, the company has built a solid reputation for delivering complex multifamily, healthcare, education, and commercial projects while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and relationships. Lead preconstruction and estimating efforts from conceptual budgeting through final bid submission.

Collaborate with internal teams, owners, architects, and subcontractors to develop competitive project strategies.

Manage and mentor estimating team members while fostering a collaborative work environment.

Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, value engineering recommendations, and bid analyses.

Support business development initiatives and help position projects for successful execution.

Contribute to the planning and procurement of major commercial construction projects.

Work across a diverse portfolio including multifamily, healthcare, education, and other commercial developments.

Partner with project management and field operations teams to ensure smooth project transitions.

Base salary up to $160K

Discretionary annual bonus typically ranging up to 20% based on company and project performance.

Additional discretionary profit-sharing opportunities.

Vehicle allowance of approximately $650 per month.

Company-paid health insurance covering approximately 75% to 80% of premiums.

Dental and vision insurance available.

401(k) program with company match of 100% on the first 3% of employee contributions and 50% on the next 2%.

128 hours of PTO (approximately 3 weeks).

6 paid holidays plus 1 floating holiday.
