Job Description

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects.
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop preconstruction strategies.
  • Analyze project specifications and drawings to determine scope and requirements.
  • Manage vendor and subcontractor pricing to ensure competitive bids.
  • Provide value engineering solutions to optimize project budgets.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for all preconstruction activities.
  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders to align on project goals.
  • Support contract negotiations and budget finalization.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Preconstruction Manager / Estimator should have:

  • 5+ years of estimating or preconstruction experience with a general contractor
  • Experience developing conceptual and detailed construction estimates
  • Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and project costs
  • MEP estimating or technical MEP knowledge is a significant advantage
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
