Job Description

Lead preconstruction efforts from conceptual design through project turnover. Develop detailed conceptual and hard-bid cost estimates across multifamily, healthcare, education, and light-industrial projects. Analyze drawings, specifications, and project documents to identify scope requirements and cost drivers. Coordinate subcontractor and supplier pricing while cultivating strong trade partner relationships. Prepare budgets, value engineering recommendations, and cost-saving strategies for clients and project teams. Collaborate with business development, operations, and executive leadership during pursuit and proposal activities. Conduct quantity takeoffs, pricing reviews, and risk assessments to support accurate project forecasting. Participate in design-assist and design-build processes to optimize project outcomes. Present estimates, schedules, and project strategies to clients, architects, and internal stakeholders. Support successful project handoff to operations teams following contract award.

Requirements to Apply

• Experience in preconstruction, estimating, or related construction management roles with a commercial general contractor.
• Proven ability to develop conceptual and detailed project estimates.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and market pricing.
• Experience working on commercial projects such as multifamily, healthcare, education, or industrial facilities.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Proficiency with estimating and preconstruction software platforms.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Design-build and negotiated project experience preferred.
