Preconstruction / Hard-Bid Estimator

Overview

A growing Columbus commercial GC/construction manager with public and private work across Ohio needs a Preconstruction Estimator who can price public bids and support CMAR/design-build budgets. Responsibilities

• Estimate hard-bid public projects and support negotiated/CMAR budgets
• Develop conceptual and design-development estimates
• Lead value-engineering and constructability reviews
• Build bid packages and scopes for subcontractors
• Maintain cost databases and historical pricing

Requirements

• 3+ years of commercial estimating or preconstruction
• Hard-bid experience required; CMAR/design-build budgeting a plus
• Takeoff software (On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, or similar) and Excel
• Ability to read and interpret drawings at all design stages
• Degree in Construction Management/Engineering preferred
