Cardinal Staffing Services is hiring a Precision Tool Grinding CNC Programmer in Davison, MI to support production for firearm & automotive applications. You’ll write and refine programs, run work on an Anca TX-7 CNC Grinder, and turn carbide and high-speed steel chamber reamers into flawless, spec-perfect parts.
What a typical day looks like
- Start by loading your queue, reviewing blueprints, and confirming specs and gaging plans.
- Program, set up, and operate the Anca TX-7 CNC Grinder to produce carbide and HSS chamber reamers.
- Monitor quality and throughput, making on-the-fly adjustments to meet demand and blueprint tolerances.
- Jump to other manufacturing equipment as needed to keep schedules on track.
- Handle basic preventive maintenance and machine care to maximize uptime.
- Partner with the President and Plant Manager to tackle special assignments and priorities.
Schedule, pay, and employment details
- Direct hire through Cardinal Staffing Services
- 1st shift: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM; overtime available after training
- Competitive hourly rate starting at $37+ per hour (pay rate based on experience)
- Benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision)
- Relocation package is negotiable based on distance
What you bring
- Required: Programming experience on ANCA, Walter, or Rollomatic CNC tool grinders
- Solid understanding of manufacturing, production flow, and gaging/metrology
- Shop math and trigonometry skills
- Blueprint reading and interpretation
- Precision mindset, reliable attendance, and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment
