Your Mission
Transform prints into perfectly machined implant and instrument components—safely, repeatably, and on time—while raising the bar for quality and documentation.
How You’ll Win Here
- Set up, operate, and sustain CNC Swiss-style lathes; perform changeovers and program debugging to optimize cycle time and capability.
- Complete part fabrication, deburring, and finishing to meet stringent functional and cosmetic requirements.
- Interpret blueprints, routers, inspection check-sheets, and work instructions with precision.
- Measure what matters using calipers, micrometers, height stands, and comparators; record results in ERP and machine monitoring systems.
- Close the loop with CNC programmers—deliver detailed feedback and keep setup documentation current under change control.
- Support NPI with setup optimization and early-run troubleshooting; proactively remove production roadblocks.
- Guide teammates, enable training, and help maximize CNC asset utilization across the area.
- Advance lean practices and continuous improvement to elevate quality and delivery metrics.
- Execute the production plan to achieve on-time delivery without sacrificing standards.
What You Need to Bring
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training preferred.
- Minimum 3 years on Swiss-style lathes preferred, or 3+ years on traditional multi-axis CNC lathes.
- Comprehensive understanding of machinery, tooling, measuring, and gauging; strong grasp of production processes.
- Expertise in setups, blueprint reading, routers, and setup files.
- Ability to assure both functional and aesthetic quality.
- Effective verbal communication with production, management, and technical partners.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing objectives.
- Ability to follow Supervisor direction and execute tasks consistently.
- Demonstrated alignment to Avalign’s core values and professional behaviors.
- Working knowledge of Avalign’s Quality System, including Measurement Instruction Sheet layout/purpose and Compliance Policies.
