Your impact

• Set up and operate Star Swiss (sliding headstock) CNC lathes to produce repeatable, tight-tolerance components.
• Translate engineering blueprints, GD&T, and job travelers into precise, efficient machining plans.
• Verify quality at every stage using calipers, micrometers, indicators, and gauges; complete in-process and final inspections.
• Hold demanding tolerances and refine tool/work offsets to keep processes centered and stable.
• Identify potential machining or quality issues early and communicate them to the right stakeholders.
• Model safety procedures and strengthen a safety-first culture on the floor.
• Maintain an orderly, efficient work area to support flow and reliability.
• Collaborate with quality, engineering, and production to troubleshoot and elevate results.

What sets you up for success

• Advanced blueprint reading (required), with strong GD&T fluency.
• Hands-on proficiency with metrology tools—calipers, micrometers, indicators, gauges.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality parts every time.
• Experience on Swiss lathes preferred; confidence operating in precision machining environments with tight tolerances.

Physical capability

• Standing for extended periods.
• Lifting 35–50 lbs as required.
• Bending, reaching, stooping, and crouching as needed.
• Sharp visual acuity for close-tolerance inspection and reading prints.
• Comfort working around noise, coolants, and moving equipment.
