    Step into the heart of production

    As a Precision Slitting Machine Technician, you’ll be the steady hand guiding rolls through the slitting line, turning large webs into accurate, high‑quality finished product. Your day blends hands-on machine work, digital interfaces, and teamwork with press and quality crews.

    A day in the life

    You’ll begin by reviewing Product Process Plans and quality specs, setting up the slitter to meet width and tolerance targets. Throughout the shift, you’ll monitor HMI/shop‑floor computer systems, adjust settings to maintain speed and precision, and keep a sharp eye on quality. When issues arise, you’ll coordinate with Press Operators and alert plant supervision and Quality Assurance to keep production on track.

    What you’ll do

    • Operate slitting equipment safely and efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
    • Use shop-floor computer interfaces and understand end-to-end machine operations.
    • Follow Product Process Plans and meet established quality standards.
    • Apply palletizing and barcode scanning procedures for finished goods.
    • Communicate closely with Press Operators about slitting-related quality concerns.
    • Spot potential problems and promptly notify supervision, Quality Assurance, and/or the press crew.
    • Join weekly safety and quality meetings and contribute observations and ideas.
    • Perform hazardous waste management tasks as required.
    • Maintain production pace while protecting accuracy and consistency.
    • Lift items up to 45 lbs and support material movement as needed.
    • Work overtime when required to meet production demands.

    What you’ll bring

    • Prior experience in machine operation or manufacturing (preferred).
    • Ability to read and write sufficiently to follow work instructions and safety procedures.
    • Comfort with shop-floor computer systems/HMIs.
    • Meticulous focus on safety, quality, and accuracy.
    • Reliability and readiness to excel in a fast-paced plant environment.
