If yes, here’s what you’ll tackle
- TIG weld stainless and sheet metal components for fittings and ductwork.
- Cut, form, drill, grind, fit, and fully fabricate parts to spec.
- Run shop equipment: plasma torch, shear, brake, roller, punch press, rotary forming machines, seam welders, coil line.
- Set up gear correctly, use required safety devices, and keep your area safe.
- Operate a forklift when trained/required.
- Perform first piece and subsequent inspections.
- Monitor equipment; request service; perform simple maintenance/repairs.
- Wear required PPE at all times in our production environment.
What you’ll need to qualify
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- TIG welding experience required; mechanically inclined.
- Solid math skills; able to read a tape measure; blueprint literacy or familiarity.
- Willing to learn (2-week training available for the right person) and keep pace.
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10-hour days; Saturday overtime as needed.
Physical demands
- Stand/walk/move across the facility for long periods.
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
- Work near paints, powders, chemicals, and in varying temperatures.
Compensation & benefits
- Starting pay: $18–$23 per hour (commensurate with experience; may be higher).
- Weekly pay.
- Benefits eligibility begins the first of the month after 60 days (for full-time eligible employees): Scott and White Health Plan (health and vision), Delta Dental, 401(k), Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability.
- Vacation after 1 year; 8 paid holidays after a 90-day probation period.
