A day in the life

Picture your morning: you power up a vertical machining center, verify work offsets, and load plastic stock. Blueprints are open, tools are checked, and the first parts are in the vise. You key in process and IPC data to Pro Shop/Part Level, confirm the setup, and run a short burst to validate dimensions. Drilling, tapping, and chamfering follow. You watch chip evacuation and coolant flow, keep an eye on burrs, and tweak offsets to hold tolerance. Between cycles, you hand-deburr, bead blast, and prep inserts so the next run is ready to go. By day’s end, your time against work orders and in-process counts are accurately recorded, and a clean, organized cell is ready for tomorrow.
