Step Into a Day on the Toolroom Floor
Your workday starts at 6:45am. You review a new mold cavity repair, load your CNC lathe program, verify tooling, and take a precise first cut. By mid-morning, you’re checking dimensions, tweaking speeds and feeds for stainless versus aluminum, and moving to the mill for finishing. After lunch, a surface grind tightens tolerances, you document results, and assemble components for fit. Before the 3:15pm close, you tidy the bench, schedule preventive maintenance, and help a teammate troubleshoot a tricky setup. That’s a typical day as a CNC Machinist Toolmaker supporting a well-established manufacturer in the Morristown area—direct hire from day one, with long-term growth ahead.
