Precision MIG/TIG Fabrication Welder

Imagine starting your shift by opening a new set of prints, planning your fit-up, dialing in your machine, and laying down consistent, clean beads across steel, stainless, and aluminum. You verify every dimension, collaborate with fabrication and quality teammates, and finish each component knowing it meets exacting standards for strength and appearance. That’s a typical day in this role.

What you’ll do

• Execute MIG (GMAW) and TIG (GTAW) welds on diverse metals: steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and more.
• Interpret blueprints, welding symbols, drawings, and work instructions to plan your work.
• Set up, operate, and fine-tune welding equipment safely and efficiently.
• Verify weld quality and structural integrity through visual inspection and measurement.
• Measure, cut, fit, and assemble components to spec prior to welding.
• Grind, polish, and finish welded assemblies to required surface quality.
• Care for tools and perform routine preventive maintenance on welding equipment.
• Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a safe, orderly work area.
• Coordinate with fabrication, production, and quality teams to meet throughput goals.
• Flag equipment malfunctions, material defects, and safety issues promptly.

What you bring

• 2+ years of hands-on welding experience.
• Solid proficiency with both MIG and TIG processes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and weld symbols.
• Working knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy basics, and shop safety.
• Comfort using measurement tools (tape measure, calipers, squares).
• Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on your feet for extended periods.
• Consistent attendance and dependable work ethic.

Physical demands

• Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and working in varied positions.
• Lifting, carrying, and moving materials up to 50 lbs.
• Manual dexterity and strong hand-eye coordination.
• Comfort working around welding fumes, heat, noise, and moving equipment in a manufacturing setting.

Pre-employment requirement

You will be asked to demonstrate MIG and TIG proficiency during a hands-on weld test prior to hire.
