Role focus

• Own end‑to‑end installation of CNC machine tools to exact OEM requirements and validate performance through live demonstrations.
• Apply blueprints, wiring diagrams, manuals, and specs to plan and execute installs and repairs.
• Troubleshoot and tune mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic subsystems to keep equipment within tolerance.
• Use test instruments and hand tools to diagnose and correct issues; consult engineering on unusual behaviors.
• Inspect assemblies, motion components, and safety functions for proper fit, alignment, and operation.
• Set tool lists, parts, and equipment needed to complete each scope of work safely and efficiently.
• Perform routine maintenance; help customers build effective preventive maintenance schedules.
• Measure with precision (calipers, micrometers, height gauges) to verify setups and repairs.
• Communicate daily progress and findings to project managers, supervisors, and customer stakeholders.
• Report accidents or mistakes right away; support additional tasks as assigned.

Baseline qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus CNC machine technician experience.
• Fluency with shop math (fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions).
• Solid computer literacy across email, record systems, databases, word processing, spreadsheets, and graphics; advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Active driver’s license; willingness to travel 15–20% with overnights, including 1–2‑week trips when required.
• FANUC CNC control proficiency is mandatory.

Physical and environmental snapshot

• Roughly 20% stationary machine operation; constant use of powered equipment and regular movement to access tools, equipment, and parts.
• Frequently working above/below machines; extensive fine and gross manipulation.
• Clear communication with office and shop teams; near‑field visual inspection to identify defects and mechanical issues.
• Routinely handle up to 50 lbs; transport and load parts and tools.
• Occasional exposure to humidity, moving machinery, fumes/airborne particles, and caustic/toxic chemicals; typically moderate noise with periods of loud equipment.
• PPE required around machinery and live electrical; warmer months can be hot while wearing PPE.
