Step into the Pilot & Pre‑Production floor

At Indotronix, we’re hiring a hands-on technician who thrives at the intersection of mechanics and electronics. You’ll spend your days assembling, testing, and refining electro‑mechanical builds that support ordnance products and their support equipment—right where concepts become production‑ready.

Location, Schedule, and Pay

  • Onsite in Maple Grove, MN
  • 9/80 work schedule
  • Hourly pay: $35/hr on W2
  • Duration: 12+ months, with potential to convert to hire
  • Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance

Your Day-to-Day

Morning starts with engineering drawings and sketches—your blueprint for precise, repeatable (and sometimes one‑of‑a‑kind) assembly work. Through the day, you’ll switch between micro/nano‑scale fabrication under magnification, careful electro‑mechanical assembly, and bench testing with scopes and meters. You’ll capture your findings, generate test report data, and huddle with teammates to troubleshoot and improve designs as products transition toward production. When production needs surge, you’re ready to pitch in with extra hours, including occasional weekends.

Core Strengths You Bring

  • Proficient with electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, meters), electrical assembly tools, and common hand tools
  • Confident reading and interpreting electrical/mechanical drawings and sketches
  • Steady precision and fine motor control for micro/nano‑scale assembly and test with near‑zero defects
  • Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with J‑STD‑001
  • Ability to conduct tests and produce clear test report data
  • Strong communicator and collaborative teammate; safety‑first mindset
  • Comfort lifting up to 35 lb

Preferred Extras

  • Clear, actionable feedback to aid design, fabrication, and test improvements
  • Skill in troubleshooting electronic and electro‑mechanical assemblies
  • Experience with Cirris and/or Automated Test Equipment (ATE)
  • Training/proficiency in IPC/WHMA‑A‑620 Class 3 and J‑STD‑001
  • Basic understanding of GD&T

Background That Fits

  • 2‑year technical degree OR at least 2 years in a related technician role (production or prototype)
